Full time workers on an adult wage earn around $986 per week, with higher earnings expected as experience grows. They report 51% of workers are part time, demonstrating the flexibility that a career in this industry can offer.
Animal attendant and training occupations encompass a variety of different tasks. From teaching animals to obey verbal and non-verbal commands to addressing behaviourial problems. Other tasks may include feeding, exercising and playing with animals, answering visitor questions in an animal shelter environment or treating minor injuries. Roles may include, dog handlers and trainers, horse trainers, zookeepers and kennel hands.
